Arlin Greene began his musical career in his early teens playing bass
with his father, the local bluegrass celebrity, Smokey Greene.
He was part of Smokey Greene and the Boys and played on many of
Smokey's recordings. He has toured the United Stated with a number of folk, bluegrass,
and rock & roll bands, and played in bands with such notables as banjo legend Bill Keith,
and Dan Tyminski of Alison Krauss' Union Station. Arlin has also recorded and
played with 1980's pop star, James "D Train" Williams. And just to mix it up
(he does like to cook!) he played bass for two years with a blues band in East Africa.
Arlin is currently a member of Adrenaline Hayride, a wild blend of original and
traditional bluegrass which includes two former McKrells artists,
Chris Leske and Craige Vance.
